Elon Musk’s Neuralink Brain Chip Implants in First Human

Elon Musk announced Neuralink on the update of the social media platform “X” (Twitter). The company’s implant is a tiny device known as a “Link”. The size of it is equivalent to five coins stacked together and will be surgically placed inside the human brain.

Neuralink, based in California was founded in 2016. The company has a strong workforce of more than 400 individuals, raising over $363 million in funding as per the reports by Pitchbook.

With taking technology to the heights, Musk’s Neuralink has successfully installed a brain implant in a human patient marking a milestone for the neurotechnology firm. Moreover, the first receipt of an implant is recovering well after the procedure.

The news of Neuralink’s first-ever invention has been shared by Elon Musk on the social media platform X stating that, “The first human received an implant from Neuralink yesterday and is recovering well”. He continued with “Initial results show promising neuron spike detection”. This new step will follow Neuralink’s receipt of approval from US regulators last year (2023) to commence human trials for their new brain implants.

The new innovation by Musk aims to forge direct communication pathways between the human brain and the latest computer technology. This will not only revolutionize the treatment of neurologic disorders and Parkinson’s disease but also help in enhancing human capabilities. This will foster a symbiotic relationship between humans and AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Although Musk often garners significant media attention for his involvement in interference research, he is not only in this endeavour. Moreover, Musk’s collaboration with Synchron, another implant developer who first inserted an implant into a US patient in July 2022, offers a less invasive installation process, not required to open the skull. This collaboration will bring new technology to the world.

Neuralink has a history of delivering promising developments but faces scrutiny over its safety protocol. The company also faced fines for breaching US Department of Transportation regulations related to hazardous material transportation. On November 2023, US lawmakers urged the US Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate the claims on Musk, misleading investors about the safety of Neuralink’s brain implant.

As the world is changing with Neuralink’s achievement, this innovation will mark a significant palace in neurotechnology.

Johnson & Johnson and Nvidia Join Hands to Develop New AI Applications for Surgery

On 18 March, Johnson & Johnson announced their collaboration with Nvidia to integrate new AI devices and platforms for pre- operation to post- operation. These new-scale artificial intelligence devices help surgeons to have all the information under one roof, said Kimberly Powell, Nvidia’s vice president of health care.

Many companies have been using AI to analyze surgical videos and are helping in the automation of time-consuming documentation after a procedure. However, combining artificial intelligence with machines will make the task easier. “Nvidia has been working in medical devices and imaging for more than a decade”, said Powell.

The MedTech unit at Johnson & Johnson creates tools and solutions for major conditions that are commonly spreading within people such as kidney failure, heart failure, and stroke.

Their technology has been used in more than 75 million cases every year. Moreover, Shan Jegatheeswaran, Vice President & Global Head of Digital at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, said “One minute of surgical video is equivalent to 25CT scans. So, having computer power and infrastructure will help to annotate and share video widely to the surgeons.”

Powell further states in an interview, “There’s an ability to use all the sources of data inside an operating room, whether it’s your voice, or whether it’s the video coming from a camera inside the body, or elsewhere, to take advantage of the generative AI moment that we’re in.”

In the shorter term, de-identifying and enhancing the videos will help in the education and training of surgeons whereas in the longer term, analytics will be layered on top of video for real-time decision support.

The more accessible surgical video ensures less dependency of the residents on the insights and availability of more experienced physicians at their institution. Jegantheeswaran in continuation said, “Think about athletes. They look at game tape, and they get better over time as they look at themselves, That’s sort of the starting point. That’s the holy grail in the short term.”

Powell further states, “The collaboration is in the “early innings” and many applications are in the process for fine-tuning and safety implementation”, However, nondiagnostic cases such as automating paperwork will reduce the surgeon’s time and make a difference “right out of the gate.”

Powell concluded with, “I think all of us as patients should get excited about the fact that this kind of technology is going to be able to enter in and be within reach of all the clinicians and all the hardworking nurses and all the health-care staff, They’re going to have the very best tools and information at their disposal.”

In the digital age, the term “website” has become ubiquitous, determining how we access and share information. From personal blogs to multinational corporations, websites are the building blocks of our online presence.

Meaning, Definition, and Origin of “Website”

The term “website” is a compound word combining “web” and “site”. “Web” refers to the World Wide Web, the vast network of interconnected documents and resources accessible via the Internet. The word “site” means a location or place.

Coined in the early days of the Internet, the term “website” emerged to mean a digital space where information could be stored, organized, and accessed.

A website is a collection of web pages, media content, and other digital assets hosted on a web server and accessible through a unique domain name.

These pages are designed using HTML, CSS, and other programming languages, providing a user-friendly interface for individuals and businesses to share information, products, or services with a global audience. To Know Website Meaning in Hindi.

Website Journey:

Era Description
1990s Introduction of basic HTML websites.
Early 2000s Rise of dynamic websites with CSS and JavaScript.
Mid-2000s Emergence of content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
Late 2000s Growth of social media integration and responsive design.
2010s Proliferation of mobile-friendly design and the advent of AI.
2020s and Beyond Continued focus on user experience, accessibility, and AI integration.

Types of Website

Static and dynamic websites represent two approaches to web content and functionality. The distinction lies in how the content is generated and served to the user.

1. Static Websites:
A static website consists of fixed, unchanging web pages. Each page is coded in HTML and displays the same information to every visitor.

  • Characteristics:
    • Content remains the same for all users.
    • Information is manually coded into each HTML page.
    • Limited interactivity and user engagement.
    • Best suited for small websites with straightforward content.
  • Advantages:
    • Simplicity and ease of development.
    • Fast loading times as there is no need for server-side processing.
    • Cost-effective for small projects.
  • Disadvantages:
    • Limited interactivity and personalization.
    • Updating content requires manual coding.
    • Less suitable for dynamic or frequently changing information.

2. Dynamic Websites:
Dynamic websites generate content on the fly, often pulling data from a database. The content displayed can vary based on user interactions, preferences, or real-time data.

  • Characteristics:
    • Content is generated dynamically at the time of the request.
    • Utilizes server-side technologies such as PHP, Python, or Ruby.
    • Supports user interaction, personalization, and dynamic content updates.
    • Well-suited for large websites with frequently changing information.
  • Advantages:
    • Allows for user interaction and engagement.
    • Easier content management through databases.
    • Supports complex features like e-commerce and user accounts.
  • Disadvantages:
    • Requires more development time and expertise.
    • Higher initial costs for hosting and development.
    • Potential for slower loading times depending on server resources.

Comparison of Static and Dynamic:

  1. Flexibility:
    • Static: Limited flexibility as content is fixed.
    • Dynamic: Highly flexible with the ability to adapt content based on user input or real-time data.
  2. User Interaction:
    • Static: Limited interactivity; content is the same for all users.
    • Dynamic: Supports interactive elements, user accounts, and personalized content.
  3. Updates:
    • Static: Manual updates are required for each page.
    • Dynamic: Content updates are often automated and managed through a content management system (CMS).
  4. Scalability:
    • Static: Well-suited for small-scale projects.
    • Dynamic: Scalable for large, complex websites with evolving content.

The choice between static and dynamic websites depends on the project’s requirements, scale, and desired features. Static websites are suitable for simpler projects with fixed content, while dynamic websites offer greater flexibility and interactivity for more complex and dynamic content needs.

Categories of Websites:

  1. Personal Websites:
    • Showcase individual skills, interests, and achievements.

Advantages of Websites:

  1. Global Reach:
    • Websites break geographical barriers, reaching a global audience.
  2. Accessibility:
    • Available 24/7, allowing users to access information at their convenience.
  3. Cost-Effective Marketing:
    • Provides a cost-efficient platform for marketing products and services.
  4. Interactivity:
    • Allows user engagement through comments, forums, and interactive features.

Disadvantages of Websites:

  1. Technical Issues:
    • Websites may face downtime, loading issues, or security vulnerabilities.

    • Users need an internet connection to access websites, limiting offline accessibility.
  3. Security Concerns:
    • Websites are susceptible to cyber-attacks and data breaches.
  4. Maintenance:
    • Regular updates and maintenance are required to ensure optimal performance.

Websites have evolved from simple HTML pages to dynamic, interactive platforms that shape our online experiences. Understanding the meaning, types, advantages, and disadvantages of websites is crucial in navigating the digital landscape. As we witness the ongoing journey of websites, it’s clear that they will remain integral to our interconnected world, continually adapting to technological advancements and user expectations.

4 Quick Ways To Speed-Up Your Business Website & Grow Visitors

Summary: Your consumers experience your products through your business website. Make sure they have an amazing one!

When it comes to web browsing, we want everything fast. From a business website to product images, anything that takes more than 5 seconds seems like an eternity. Many customers leave a website page that takes a long time to download even though they love the product

Even Google considers a site`s speed when it crawls your webpage. According to one report by Google, “the chances of people abandoning a business website grow by 32% when the page load time increases from one to three seconds.”

In another study, users who are dissatisfied with the site’s performance say they won`t return to the site again. It simply means that having an unresponsive website can result in you losing customers, and it is time to do something about it.

If you have an e-commerce startup business and are wondering why your sale is not growing, here are some tips that will help you to speed up your website and make it more responsive:

1. Pick Faster Web Host

The speed of your web host plays a crucial role when you create a website. While many entrepreneurs choose the cheapest available option, this typically comes at the expense of their site`s download speed. If your website is slow and takes time to download the images of the products, your customers might get annoyed and might leave.

Hence, consider switching to a better and faster host. Before selecting a host, you can Google their reviews to find out what their customers have to say about them. You can take our Problem Solving Courses and learn everything about business websites and marketing.

2. Pick a Theme that is fast & Responsive

To build a fast website, you should use a lightweight theme for your website. A lighter website theme will download quickly for your visitors when they will your website. Themes that are poorly coded are often heavier and take a longer time to load, particularly on mobile devices.

Most businesses are focusing to build a mobile-friendly website. Why? Because the majority of users access the internet through smartphones. So, you should choose a mobile-friendly, light theme that is responsive and downloads quickly as your first choice.

3. Upload & Stream Videos Directly from YouTube

Large files uploaded on the website tend to slow the speed down. Rather than uploading your videos to the web host directly, try uploading them onto YouTube.  You can then simply embed the link on your website. Your visitors can stream your videos directly from YouTube. This will help you to reduce the load time for your website.

4. Use Plugins Smartly

Many plugins can help to make your business website truly amazing. However, it is suggested that you use them sparingly. Where some plugins will provide a unique experience to your customers, too many will slow it down.

A website is a gateway that brings customers to your products and services. Hence, building a website that is faster, responsive, and mobile-friendly is the need of the hour. By applying the quick ways mentioned above, you can create a website for your e-commerce business that will attract more visitors and help you to grow sales.

You can easily boost your sales with the right guidance from a business expert. Learn to generate high revenue earning products for sales; generate payment links for customers, manage account-related details. Solve your problems in just one click: https://www.badabusiness.com/psc.

How Bada Business Community App Helps Your Business to Grow Exponentially?

Summary: Are you an entrepreneur who is looking for a dedicated platform to interact with other business owners and industrialists to discuss innovative ideas and creative approaches to various business challenges? Bada Business community is the answer.

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”- Hellen Keller

This inspirational quote has been a popular one with us. So many times whenever we forget the power of community, this quote reminds us of the unforgettable strength of people coming together for a common and a greater cause.

This theory can be applied in many aspects of life- both professional and personal. For instance, a business can be founded by a single person, but its sustainability and growth depend on its employees. Whether it’s a startup or a large company, an organization can achieve its goals only if its manpower works together and play its part perfectly.

Similarly, in today`s digital world, a brand can make its presence when it reaches out to its target audience. But, not every customer is your customer. And not every platform is meant for your business.

For instance, where Facebook promotes strong family relationships, LinkedIn symbolizes a platform that is meant only for professional relationships. You can share your vacation pictures on Instagram and Facebook, but on LinkedIn, you will have to abstain from doing so. Hence, a company needs to identify its target niche for business growth and scalability.

For so many years, we have been witnessing the surge in social media platforms that are meant solely for entertainment purposes. There is a dearth of good social media platforms that are meant only for entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, wantrepreneurs, SMEs, and MSMEs. A platform that allows its users to learn the twisted dynamics of business fundamentals in a layman language is the need of the hour.

According to InvestIndia.gov.in, our country witnessed the birth of 44 unicorns with a total valuation of $92.77Bn in 2021. In the first two weeks of January 2022, India has got its 2 unicorns.

Since the onset of COVID-19 many young entrepreneurs are looking to take their startup businesses to the next level. But due to lack of guidance and a tailored-fit community, they often end up doing a 9-to-5 desk job. To help the Indian youth with their entrepreneurial journey and small business owners, we have launched the Bada Business community app!

What is Bada Business Community App?

Bada Business community app is India`s 1st platform where a large community of entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, wantrepreneurs, and SMEs come together for learning and growth.

Where using social media platforms might be helpful for the B2C business model, for B2B business, these platforms often result in a waste of time and effort.

At Bada Business community app, you will find relevant people with whom you can discuss the possibilities of business and share your ideas. What`s more? So, if you are an entrepreneur who is looking to build an engagement with your community members, creating a mobile app can help. But not all apps are created equal.

While some apps are engaging, some apps are too complicated and boring or simply just don’t provide any value.

Whether it`s an app launched by the best motivational speaker in India or an app made for sheer entertainment, it has to be employee-centric. If you are thinking about making your online community`s mobile app successful, you need an app that is simple to use, provides value, and incorporates features that your users will enjoy.

Here are some of the features that you must have in your community app:

Whether it is tech-savvy or a person with a non-tech person, always ensure that users can easily participate in the community whether they are participating from their phones or their desktops.

2. UPDATES & NOTIFICATIONS

Ever wondered why every popular social media app keeps sending new updates to you? That is because nobody wants to see the same thing every time they open an app. Ensure these content-related features in your community app:

  • The app should always highlight new and updated content.
  • Show users new and fresh content based on their interests.
  • Look for a feature that will show filter content.
  • Create a platform where users can share photos, files, ask questions and participate in discussions.

3. PERSONALIZATION SETTINGS

Users want a personalized experience from an organization. Make sure that your online community app can provide that experience. Notification settings are particularly important because they keep the users updated with your recent products and services. Amidst Pandemic IT Spending In India Expected To Grow 8% In 2021

According to a new Gartner report, “the information technology (IT) spending in India is expected to reach $92.7 billion in 2021, growing 8 percent from last year, as many companies still suffer revenue declines and IT spending is accelerating ahead of revenue expectations amid the pandemic.”

IT spending across the world is projected to total $4.2 trillion in 2021, an increase of 8.6 percent from 2020.

“The second wave of the pandemic and associated lockdowns has brought a significant sluggishness during most of the second quarter of 2021. However, demand is witnessing a rapid recovery across the majority of the sectors,” said Naveen Mishra, senior research director at Gartner.

“Pharma, healthcare, financial services, education, online retail, and government continue to invest in their digital transformation journey”, he added further.

In 2021, Indian organizations including SMEs will be better positioned to invest more into IT, through the next two quarters. All segments of IT spending are projected to grow in 2021, in India. End users are forecasted to spend the highest on devices in 2021, after a 5.9 percent decline in 2020, the report showed.

John-David Lovelock, distinguished research vice president at Gartner said that CIOs are looking for partners who can think past the digital sprints of 2020 and be more intentional in their digital transformation efforts in 2021. This means building technologies and services that don’t yet exist, and further differentiating their organization in an already crowded market.

The IT services segment is forecast to total $1.2 trillion in 2021, an increase of 9.8 percent from last year. “As the world continues to open back up, enterprises will invest in tools that support innovation, anywhere operations and employee productivity and trust,” said Lovelock.

IT Ministry Says New IT Rules To Ensure A Safer & More Responsible Social Media Ecosystem

With Twitter India on Sunday hints towards complying completely with the IT rules by appointing Vinay Prakash as the resident grievance office, the IT & Communications minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Sunday said the new information technology rules will empower and protect the users at the same time.

Adding further, he said the new IT rules will ensure a safer and more responsible social media ecosystem in India.

The new rules which came into effect on May 25 mandate social media companies to establish a grievance redressal mechanism for resolving complaints from the users or victims.

“Reviewed the implementation and compliance of Information Technology Rules, 2021 along with my colleague Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar Ji. These guidelines are empowering and protecting users and will ensure a safer and more responsible social media ecosystem in India,” Vaishnav said in a post on Twitter’s Indian competitor Koo platform.

All significant social media companies, with over 50 lakh user bases shall appoint a grievance officer to deal with such complaints and share the name and contact details of such officers.

The big social media companies are mandated to appoint a chief compliance officer, a Nodal Contact Person, and a resident grievance officer. All of them should be a resident in India.

While Twitter has named its Resident Grievance Officer for India, Facebook-owned WhatsApp has challenged the new IT rules for social media intermediaries requiring the messaging app to trace chats and make provisions to identify the first originator of the information, saying they violate the right to privacy and are unconstitutional.

WhatsApp further alleged the requirement of intermediaries enabling the identification of the first originator of information in India upon government or court order puts end-to-end encryption and its benefits “at-risk”.

Some of the media houses have also challenged the new IT rules and the matter is sub-judice.
